Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening Jelly

Description:

1. Combine eggs, salt and milk.

2. Spread 6 slices of bread with peanut butter.

3. Top with remaining slices of bread and cut in half diagonally.

4. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture and fry on preheated, well-greased griddle until golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot with jelly.
