Marilyn’s Brownies Preheat oven to 3500 F. Grease 8-inch Pyrex baking pan.
- 6 tbsp cocoa
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ pkg pecans, optional
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
1. Cream sugar, cocoa and butter together. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
2. Add flour and fold in nuts (if using). Bake in greased 8″ pan at 3500 F for 20 minutes.
3. Top will appear to be underdone (falls in middle) but don’t overcook. Should be moist and chewy.
Note: Brownies bake in 20 minutes with large size eggs. When using COSTCO jumbo size, increase baking time until baked or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost dry.
This recipe can be doubled to a 9 x 13-inch pan. Baking time is increased to 25 – 30 minutes.
