SEVEN MINUTE FROSTING
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 4 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla and baking powder in double boiler,stir until blended.
2. Cook over bubbling water,beating constantly frosting is fluffy and holds its shape.This takes about 7 minutes.
3. Remove from heat,add vanilla and baking powder,beat again until the peaks.
4. This will fill and ice a 8 inch layer cake.
NOTE:For snow or silver icing,substitute lemon juice for the water.
